I pulled my hood down and forged on, despite the pounding rain that forced those around me back at each step. I hurried onward, despite the fact that my face had long ago gone numb, and I couldn't see for more than a few feet before me at any given time before the rain swallowed up my path once again.
As I glanced down at the bundle in my arms, only one thing was truly clear in the maelstrom: I absolutely had to find shelter from the storm.
